For tournaments or leagues with quick turnarounds, you will need to complete your match at the scheduled time. If your league or tournament has flex scheduling, you will be able to reschedule your match if you need to.

Your event will have a specific forfeit policy which you should review in the Rules section. Generally, there is at least a 10 minute grace period so please wait prior to contacting support.
GYO is not an integrated system so you will not be playing your games directly from our site. Instead, use our site to establish communications with your opponent and then use the in-game invitation/game lobby features to get connected to start your game.
After you complete your match, the Winner of the match should return to the GYO Game Lobby in order to report your score. Do not forget to do this, as this is how we update the standings!

You can play as many hours as you want during the combine dates. As for how many hours should you play, it depends on you. Don’t overexert yourself, be sure to take breaks, hydrate, and eat. Just know that the more data we have, the better we can analyze you.
You are going to have good and bad days, we all do, but try to have at least 6 games you feel are good.
During the Regular Season players will play 2 matches per round, best of 3 in the Playoffs and best of 5 in all Finals.
Prior to the match, players should add each other as friends on their Consoles. The home team will create the lobby.
The following settings are to be used in matches:
Connection: Play With Friends
Quarter Length: 5 Minutes
Game Mode: Private Match
Game Style: Simulation
Difficulty: Hall of Fame
Players may not at any point use the pause feature during game play. Each team is afforded a certain number of times outs during the match.
Only current teams may be used in official matches. The use of custom teams, all-star teams, all-time teams, and history teams are prohibited.
Mirror matches are prohibited in matches. Each player will need to select a unique team to play in their match.
A match can be reset if a player disconnects from a match as long as the following criteria are met.
The disconnection happens in the first 3 minutes of the First Quarter
The score difference is 15 or less
The player has not disconnected previously during the match
Both players agree to restart or reschedule regardless if criteria or not is met.
Any other Disconnections or multiple disconnections will count as a loss for the disconnected player if the disconnection cannot be resolved promptly.
Matches are played as 1 versus 1, meaning that only one player may participate in the match for either side. No player substitutions may be made at any point during the match.
Additional guidelines that apply to all Matches:
Players should not harass, message or in any way attempt to distract or direct others to distract their opponents.
Players should not manipulate their internet connection to negatively affect their or their opponents connection or gameplay.
In game players should each have a light-colored jersey and a dark colored jersey and should choose the opposite of one another to avoid confusion. If Players can’t agree, the home player should choose a dark-colored jersey and the away player a light-colored jersey.
In the event of a disconnect, the game should be resumed with an implied score and the remaining time in the match played out.
Players will need to be available during scheduled play times to play their matches. Players that are not available need to reschedule their match with their opponent. The information will be made available on the League Administration website and via email to eligible Players.
Players will join up to play some friendly 1v1 NBA2k20 and NBA2k21 games to find new opponents for this year's competitive season! Matches will be either friendlies, or official challenges depending on what players wish to do. This event is created so players can connect and have some fun with new opponents!
Players may play this event on PC, PS4, or Xbox. Players do not need to play for the entire duration of the event.
Players must be able to communicate their PSN, Gamertag or Origin ID in the match lobby chat, so players can send friend requests to each other.
