We know that many players have not shown up, but we want to give everyone a second chance to compete!  Whoever shows up will be scheduled against the other players who come tonight, so please join if you can!

Tonight we finally determine our Champion of the first Indiana Soccer FIFA Esports League!  Tonight will be slightly different as we use a traditional Single Elimination bracket to determine our winner.  If you wish to compete in tonight's event, you must do the following:

  • Visit the League Page between 6:00 and 6:30pm EST to "Ready Up" and declare yourself as a participant this evening.  Players who do not complete this process will NOT play this evening.  See the picture below.
  • Join the League Chat channel after 6:00pm to chat with your fellow participants and the staff as we prepare for the tournament.
  • At 6:30, we will close registration and generate the schedule.  We will then complete our single elimination tournament until we have a final winner!

Please contact the staff if you have any questions.  If you have a Twitch or Mixer stream and would be interested in streaming your matches for the rest of the league, please contact the staff and we'd love to promote your channel!

Introducing the Indiana All Star ... Feature Image

Introducing the Indiana All Star ...

Greetings everyone!

Thank you to everyone for joining our first Indiana Soccer Esports League.  While our PlayStation 4 group didn't take off the way we hoped, we had over 20 regular Xbox players so we fully believe that if we expand our PS4 pool, we'll get some good play going.

To that end, we are re-launching and kicking off our next iteration of Indiana Soccer Esports and we hope you can join us.

-------

Announcing the Indiana Soccer All Star Series and State Tournament!

Starting May 28, we will kick off our new series and we hope you will sign up to join us again.  Based on the experience with this league, we have made a number of key changes.

  • The All Star Series is FREE for all Indiana Soccer members
  • The Series will be a 5-week regular season with a final tournament on Saturday, June 27
  • Each week players will be sorted into groups based on their relative skill levels.  This promotion/relegation system will help create more event matchups on a weekly basis
  • We have created a Boys and Girls division, with the top boys meeting the top girls in the final tournament

Week 2 of the League Kicks Off ...

Greetings to all competitors!  Apologies for the delayed reply as we've been very busy working on the final schedule for the upcoming Indiana State eCup.  Speaking of, did you sign up for that yet?  It is free to do so!  You can use this registration link here:  https://gyo.gg/tt/indiana-soccer-ecup/

You have until 9:00pm tonight to sign up!

--

For our league matches tonight, please follow the same procedures as last week for finding your match.  If you cannot make your match time, you MUST communicate with your opponent BEFORE your match begins.  Special thank you to those who did that properly last week and reported your scores later.  That was awesome!

We unfortunately had a number of forfeits as well, so the leaderboards are not yet up to date while we attempt to get ahold of our players.  If you can't participate in the league anymore, please email me immediately so I can remove you from the schedule.  It's not cool to just ghost your opponent, so please reach out ASAP.

Thank you all!  Have fun tonight and use this as practice for the tournament!

Welcome to the League - Regular ...

It's official, the Inaugural Champions eLeague kicks off tonight as we welcome the regular season.  Many of you participated in the pre-season so you know the drill already.  Be ready to play your games tonight at 7:30 and 8:15.  We do anticipate a couple late registrations so the schedule posted is subject to change, but your games are on for this evening!

For new players, read on below to learn more about the steps you need to take.

----------------

Step 1:  Find Your Scheduled Matches

The scheduled matches are in your League Portal page, which is where you went to originally register for the league.  To find your Leagues and find your Game Lobby, please see the instructions found on this page:

Step 2: How to Play Your Opponent

Once you have located your specific game, you must communicate directly with your Opponent in order to find each other's gamer tag information and communicate the league rules and other information.  In each Game Lobby, there is a private chat room available to yourself, your opponents, and league team members.  In this chat, share your gamertag and other instructions to find each other within the game.  Please be patient and work together!

Step 3:  Report Your Scores!

---

That's it!  It is very easy to communicate with your opponent to have a great game and report your score.  If you have any issues during the process, the league Administrators will be in the chat rooms to assist during the preseason if there are any issues, so simply community in your Game Lobby Chat.  If you are struggling to find the Game Lobby, please contact shawn@harenadata.net.

Week 1 Pre-Season Starts Tonight Feature Image

Week 1 Pre-Season Starts Tonight

Hey guys!  We only have a couple PS4 players so far and you were in different age brackets, but I paired you together tonight so you can at least get a couple pre-season friendlies in.  See below for instructions, let me know if you have questions!

Here is Your Schedule

------

Welcome to the start of our 2020 Spring Champions eLeague.  Thank you for joining, and we hope you have fun participating during this shutdown.  Tonight kicks off our formal pre-season where we want our current players to play one another in friendlies to begin understanding how the system works.  Many Clubs have not yet promoted the league as well, so we expect a number of new players to register after this week.  The official start of the Regular Season will be April 2, 2020.

Matches will be held on Thursday nights at 7:30 and 8:15pm.  If you have a conflict, you may contact your opponent through this system to reschedule anytime you wish so long as the game is completed the same week as it was scheduled.

The rest of this email will describe in detail how to play in the matches.  If you have any questions or concerns, please reply back to this message or contact shawn@harenadata.net for further assistance.

Good luck and have fun!
Shawn

COVID-19 Response and League Plans ... Feature Image

COVID-19 Response and League Plans ...

COVID-19 also known as the coronavirus has affected jobs, schools, and events on a global level as well as here in the United States. Indiana Youth Soccer has with much regret in response to the pandemic, has cancelled outdoor soccer.

It is our hope that now we can use the online nature of esports in order to allow our players to continue to engage in spirited competition with one another while we await the return of grass soccer.

The Clubs have spent a considerable amount of time and energy this past week dealing with COVID-19, so we are using the first scheduled match of the season on March 19 as a pre-season match, and delaying the official start of the esports league to the following week, March 26.  This is simply to allow more players the opportunity to register while still giving our current players a chance to play this week, so we may have a league that encompasses even more players.

If you have any questions or comments, please contact us!
