Good Morning Rocket League teams, 

Tonight at 5pm PDT, the UVIC Rocket League Tournament kicks off! Here are some helpful things you need to know before you get started:

1. The tournament is a single elimination tournament with a best of 3 match format. Finals will be a best of 5 series. All tournament games will be completed tonight.

2. Teams will be playing for merchandise and bags from Herschel Supply Co. as well as some gift cards of their choice. 

3. You will join a private match and play a best of 3 series against your opponent. Finals will be a best of 5 series. Please TAKE A PICTURE or SCREENSHOT of each game, so that you have that in case of a dispute. You don't have to upload this when you report matches. 

4. Please make sure you REPORT your scores immediately after your match in order to advance the bracket. 

5. Once you've navigated to your match lobby, you can communicate with your opponent and start the match when you're ready. 

6. If a team is not present 15 minutes after the start time (5pm PDT), then the team will automatically forfeit. As the bracket advances, please be patient and check prior matches to see if teams are still playing. This forfeit policy only applies to the first round of matches. After the first round, only teams that are participating will be present. 

7. Our support team will be in the chat lobby to answer any techincal questions you may have.

Step 1:  Find Your Playoff Matches

To find your teams tournament matches navigate to the tournament bracket page and scroll to the bottom of the page.

Step 2: How to Play Your Opponent

In each Match Lobby, there is a private chat room available to yourself, your opponents, and league team members.  In this chat, share your gamertag, private lobby name and password and other instructions to find each other within the game.  Please be patient and work together!

Step 3:  Report Your Scores!

After you complete your match, the Winner of the match should return to the GYO Game Lobby in order to report your score.  Do not forget to do this, as this is how the bracket is advanced!  You can find How to Report Your Matches here.

That's it!  It is very easy to communicate with your opponent to have a great game and report your score.  If you have any issues during the process, the league Administrators will be in the chat rooms to assist during the tournament.
