Completing Your First Round Matches

Good morning!  

Today is a wonderful day to complete any matches you have been unable to reschedule, as we see there are still many matches pending from our first regular season.  We understand this process may still be new for many of you, so our support team is active this weekend to help you complete your matches.

If you have already completed your matches and reported your scores, you may disregard this message and await your next matches, which will be scheduled and announced on Tuesday morning.

Step 1:  Login to GYO and Access My Matches
When you login to the site, the "My Matches" tab will be in orange at the top left of your screen.

 

Step 2:  Join Your Match Lobby to Find Your Opponent
In the Match list, you'll see all pending matches that you have yet to complete.  Each one has an orange "Lobby" button assigned to it.  Click on that button to access the lobby directly.

Step 3:  Contact Your Opponent to Coordinate a Time
During non-standard match hours, the chat feature may not be an effective means to communicate if your opponent isn't actively viewing the screen.  Instead, you can contact your opponent in one of the following recommended ways.

Within the Game Console
The players often respond best within the Xbox/PS4/Switch messaging system.  In order to play your matches, you must send a friend request and a message to your opponent, so you are best suited doing so prior to your match.  Once your friend request is accepted, you may communicate through the console platform.

Send a Reschedule Request
The Reschedule Request allows you to propose 1-3 alternate times for play, and sends an email to your opponent.  This is a good way to try to establish a new time if you need to schedule out your rematch.

Send a Direct Message
If you have already done both of the above steps, the gold "Message Opponent" button will allow you to send a direct email to your opponent.

My Opponent is Not Responding - What Now?
Our esports leagues are a new format for everyone, so many players and parents are still getting the hang of the tools and that may result in miscommunications and missed games.  We expect this will improve in time as everyone gains experience.  If you followed all of the steps above and were unable to complete your match, we will attempt to contact your opponent on your behalf.  If we are unable to reach your opponent, you will be granted a forfeit victory.

Missouri eCup Begins Tonight!

Good afternoon Missouri FIFA players!

The Missouri eCup Preseason starts tonight! You will be playing 2 matches per week for the group stage portion of this league and our first schedule will be posted at 4pm central time.

Flex scheduling is ACTIVE which means each week you have 6 days to complete your matches versus your opponent. While we recommend you try to play on Tuesdays for consistency, please use our reschedule function to communicate with your opponent if you need to change your play times.  Your matches must be completed by Monday each week at 11:59pm. Each week on Tuesday morning, we will send out an email announcement reminding you that your new match schedule is live. 

Following the group stage you'll be seeded into a tournament bracket to determine the final overall champion.

How to Reschedule Your Matches

If you cannot make the scheduled time to compete, we have the reschedule tool available for you to use! Remember, you have an entire week to complete your matches if you can't make the default match time each week on Wednesday. Finals Start Today at 3pm Central

Based on the results of last night's group stage, the final tournament has been seeded and the first game will kick off at 3pm Central. 

All games must be played consecutively, so you can not reschedule these matches for later in the afternoon.  After you complete one game, you will immediately move to the next stage to await your opponent.

If you wish to play your first game early, you may do that.  

Number 1 Rule:  Talk to the Event Staff in the Chat!
Let us know you are there and playing in your match, and everything is ok.  If a match goes for too long without communication, we may assume there was a forfeit or a no-show and report a loss.  Communicate with your tournament staff to make sure we know you're active!

Time Clarification

Tonight's tournament matches take place at 6:30pm central time.  While you can play early, you will not be able to reschedule for later due to the nature of the bracket.  

Players will have 10 minutes to show up before we will report for a no show and forfeit.

Seeding and Schedule Change

Quick heads up:  A player alerted us to an error in the seeding which caused many seeds to be flipped incorrectly.  We have since fixed the schedule and republished the new matches.  If you checked the schedule earlier, please check it again as your first round opponent may have changed.

Last Week of the Season

Welcome to the final week of the regular season!  The results of this final week will determine seeding for our tournament, including two coveted byes.

The official tournament will be Saturday, July 18 and will be open to additional players who can register to try to win our grand prize gaming PC.  If you have any friends who wish to join, encourage them to register!

New Schedule Posted

Apologies for the confusion, we had an error in this morning's calendar that we've now corrected and reposted.  You can now find your match schedule and begin contacting your opponents.  

Keep in mind the date and time on your matches is the suggested time.  You are welcome to reschedule games with your opponent for anytime that works for you both!  Simply use the reschedule tool, and don't forget to report your scores.
